Billet Aluminum CNC Machined Seat Foam Tool for Automotive Seating

Widely used in the automotive industry to manufacture a variety of foam components for vehicle seats, this seat foam tool was machined to precision at Aerostar Machining, Casting, Prototyping Group. We used CNC milling to machine the tool from M1 Duramold billet aluminum material. Tight tolerances of ± 0.005" were achieved in our CNC milling operations. To ensure durability, we pressure-tested and performed CMM inspections on the foam tool. The parts were also tested in our tier 1 production lines. Finally, the seating tool was assembled in-house and delivered to the customer.
