Heat Sink for LED Lighting CNC Machined Casting

We produced 2,500 pieces of these aluminum heat sinks annually for a customer from the lighting industry. These heat sinks were CNC-machined and used in a LED lighting application. The customer supplied us with CAD data and prints of the heat sink, which were used directly for production. We used A356-T6 aluminum for casting this heat sink to ensure superior properties. Drilling, grooving, and threading operations were employed to value-add features on the cast part. The heat sink was finally assembled, inspected using a CMM, and delivered to the customer.
