A Tier One heavy engine manufacturer approached Aerostar with a projected increase in demand for a part they needed to be produced. The part was an automotive cam follower, and cleanliness was a major priority for this customer. We assured the customer that we would be able to meet the large demand of parts, and got to work.
In order to keep up with demand, we doubled our machining output with additional machining fixtures and machine tools. The parts were precision machined and honed, and afterwards they were sent to the lab for millipore testing.
The customer was very impressed with the amount of parts we were able to produce, and they were pleased with the cleanliness and quality of the finished product.
