A tier one heavy truck engine manufacturer needed Aerostar to produce a large run of fuel manifolds. Cleanliness was the top priority, as well as ensuring the part is completely free of finishing burrs and leaks. Due to the complex shape of the part, along with its deep fluid passageways, traditional deburring methods would not work.
After machining the metal, we used a thermal deburring process to eradicate any impurities or burrs from the part. This left the piece free of debris or burrs, even within its cavities within the part. The parts were millipore tested for cleanliness, and air-tested for leaks. The customer received the shipment of parts on time and were extremely pleased with our process and efficiency.
